Orange & Rum Sweet Potato Cocktail

Stir up a little holiday fun with this delicious Orange & Rum Sweet Potato Cocktail.

  • 1/4 cup syrup from Bruce’s Canned Yams in Syrup
  • 2 sprigs lemon thyme 
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 3-4 ounces dark rum
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur 
  • Luxardo cherry garnish; optional

Steps to Prepare

  1. Double strain the yam syrup and transfer to a large cocktail shaker filled 1/4 with ice and thyme sprigs.
  2. Add orange juice, pineapple juice and rum.
  3. Shake until icy cold then divide between 2 rock glasses filled with ice.
  4. Pour 1/2 ounce orange liqueur on top of each cocktail and add a cherry, if desired.
